Another day, another awesome run for your Eagles of Wamac Grade School. KC hosted their invitational yesterday in what turned out to be an awesome day to run. Each race had approximately 80 runners, and our kids didn't disappoint. Each of them decided to shave time off of their previous PR's. Aubrie ran 16:10, taking off 43 seconds, and Liz took off 1:16 seconds to run a 14:36. Our JV showed up as well. Logan ran 9:19, taking off 1:17 seconds, whereas Cooper took off 1:07 to finish qt 9:14. Corbyn ran 8:25 to take off 48 seconds. Each of our kids set new personal records on a pretty open course. We were even graced with an appearance from Coach Koch's son and KC CX athlete Zerek, who was running with the athletes to ensure they stayed on the course. PSST, they all beat Zerek to the finish line lol..
Today, we have a home course advantage at Foundation Park. It's supposed to be another great day, so let's cheer them on at the Little 6 Conference. This weekend, we head to Du Quoin for our pre-state run before State the following weekend.
